Ok - just sort of, kinda did some bad things to my computer that I take full responsibility for. I can recover. However, I am completely out of disk space and need an external hard drive. It's not in budget until January, but if you can point me in the right direction, I can start researching my options. And, BTW, don't tell hubby. He never reads any of our blogs, so I feel safe.
You have a problem. Your husband not only read, but commented on my blog this week.
CNET loves Seagate External Drives.
My #1 suggestion is that if you're serious about buying an external drive, you look for something with over 350Gigs (they now come in 500g/1t range.) That means you'll be spending around $150.
Give me a price range and I'll start sending you deals I find that match that range.
I agree with LRNs that Seagates are good. I wish I could recommend Wester Digitals because they have good features but my experience (and that of many others) has been they fail too often.
In the meantime you need to clear up some space. Start by clearing your browser cache. Since I am sure you are still using IE do this: In the File/Delete Browser History/Temporary Internet Files/Delete Files
See how much space that clears. If you need more then we can start doing some surgical deletes of old junk. I'll bet there are some aborted Handbrake instances on there.
ya'll rock! Hubby was home sick today and still never got on the computer he "had" to have instead of the laptop I wanted. Now I'm stuck cleaning up this mess!!

We are a family of four, living in DE. I (Posey) and Hortense (hubby) have lived in DE for 13.5 years and still haven't hit all of the true Delaware experiences. The children are now 7 and 4 and we want to show them their home state. Now is the time. This is our year.

yup - already deleted all the "unnecessary files" as well as a couple of hubby's games. I'll check handbrake tonight.
And, the only reason hubby commented on the Eagles article is because I sent it to him. Trust me, it's the only way to get him to read anything.
Price range? Cheap without compromising value. $150 seems reasonable.
$150, with the right rebate/% off will get you a terabyte. That'll last you for years.
I'll get back to you via email once I find something.
