First Sony, now Dyson

My heart is breaking. My favorite appliance is BROKEN. Before I got my beautiful PURPLE Dyson, I hated to vacuum. I still don't like it, but at least it's fun now. We have had the Dyson for almost 4 years - a record - and the hose has a gaping hole in it. I am devastated. Tomorrow, I may start to explore repair shops or search for a roll of duct tape. I know Consumer Reports doesn't give the Dyson a high rating, but it worked well for us!!!!!

Hi Posey - don't fret! You can easily purchase a replacement hose for the Dyson. I work for a UK company, www.espares.co.uk, that specialises in replacement parts like this. I'm sure that you can find a comperable company in the US online. I have a Dyson at home too and I love it. I totally abuse it and am very surprised that four years later it's still working fine.

Sorry that your hose has split. I work for Dyson in the UK. Call the US customer care guys on 1-866-693-9766 to get a replacement hose sorted.

The Internets are funny. Post something at an obscure blog complaining about a branded product and the cold calls come out of the walls.

I wonder, did they just use a Google Alert like I do for many topics I am interested in or is there some other way for companies to track mentions of their product online?
