Hubby returned from dropping S off at school and brought home a NEW CABLE BOX. Maybe now we can watch proper cable on a broken TV. Since the original cable box didn't even last 2 months and we have been watching cable out of our DVD player for two years, this is pretty exciting.
It's a projection and the lamp thing is going. We are seeing double and playing Mario Kart makes me dizzy. Hubby is excited about getting a TV, but I am lukewarm.
The cable box is hard to do because I put hubby in charge. He hates Comcast so he did nothing about it. I was about to do it, but the weather was so nice last week I walked at lunch. We're off today and I suggested hubby take care of it and he actually did. I had to tell him how close the place was. I think he was amazed. Of course he hasn't called to get the signal, but he is grocery shopping.
Ahhh, all that makes a little more sense...although paying for something and not getting the product for two years is beyond my comprehension.
Sounds like a new TV is in order. Unless you are planning on going TV-less as a house hold...and it sounds to me like you are the only one on board for that adventure.
There was no extra charge for the cable box - we got upgraded for free. Since it wasn't costing anything, hubby figured we had no problem.
I know I am completely outvoted on getting rid of the TV. I do have nights where I kick hubs out if he wants to watch TV. I then put on music and read a book.

We are a family of four, living in DE. I (Posey) and Hortense (hubby) have lived in DE for 13.5 years and still haven't hit all of the true Delaware experiences. The children are now 7 and 4 and we want to show them their home state. Now is the time. This is our year.

What is wrong with you guys?
How are hard is it to get a new cable box? Sure, there is probably only one Comcast office in DE, but really.
Oh, and what specifically is wrong with the TV?
